About The Epoch Times

The Epoch Times is the fastest-growing independent news media in America. It is nonpartisan and dedicated to truthful reporting.

The Epoch Times is free from the influence of any government, corporation, or political party—this is what makes it different from other media organizations. The goal is to bring readers accurate information so they can form their own opinions about the most significant topics of our time.

The Epoch Times was founded in the United States in the year 2000 in response to communist repression and censorship in China. The founders, Chinese-Americans who themselves had fled communism, sought to create an independent media to bring the world uncensored and truthful information.

Having witnessed events like Tiananmen Square and the persecution of the spiritual group Falun Gong, and at a great risk to themselves and their loved ones, a group of Chinese-Americans started publishing The Epoch Times in Chinese in

May 2000 in New York City. Some reporters in China were jailed, and some suffered severe torture. Yet despite the risks, they could see the growing need for uncensored coverage of events in China.

Local editions published by regional bureaus soon followed. Today it is the largest Chinese-language newspaper outside of Mainland China and Taiwan.

The English edition of The Epoch Times launched in September 2003 on the web, and in August 2004 as a newspaper in New York.

The Epoch Times has received numerous awards for its reporting and design, including from the New York Press Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Society for News Design.

The Epoch Times’ media network currently covers 21 languages and 33 countries.

The Epoch Times Report
China and CCP
In NOV. 2004

The Epoch Times publishes editorial series “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”, publicly revealing for the first time the full extent of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s propaganda, persecution, famine, massacre, tyranny, and censorship over half a century. It has since been translated into more than 30 languages from Chinese and has inspired a global movement to withdraw from the CCP.

In 2011-12

Through exclusive sources and analysis, The Epoch Times consistent reporting on China through the years gains loyal following of China-watchers including recognition for its insightful coverage of Bo Xilai and the Xi Jinping presidency to keep western governments critically informed on the underlying implications of developments inside China.

In 2013

The Epoch Times investigative series “The atrocity of forced, live organ harvesting in China” by reporter Matthew Robertson received Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Covid-19

The CCP virus outbreak had infected over 9.5 million people in the World and caused over 480,000 deaths as of June 25th, according to government data collected by Johns Hopkins University.

The number of deaths in America from the epidemic has exceeded by several times those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack and the attack on Pearl Harbor combined.

Reports from Epoch Media Group and others clearly pointed out that the CCP’s cover up at the start of the epidemic accelerated the spread of the virus, which has affected over 187 countries or regions.

The outbreak highlights the perils of the Chinese regime’s growing economic power and influence.

While the world’s media have been either repeating the false narratives being put out by the Chinese Communist Party, or politicizing the current outbreak, the Epoch Times and NTD have been investigating 1. the true origins of the outbreak, 2. how the CCP lied for 6 full weeks and allowed this problem to go global, 3. how the countries that have been hit the hardest are the same ones with the deepest ties to the CCP.

China coverage unlike anyone else (poison products coming to America, gutting of US manufacturing, intellectual property theft, space force aggression, broke the SARS story, broke the organ harvesting story, etc.) Know how to protect your family, future generations, don’t unknowingly act against your conscience.
